The first dual meet of the year had a little bit of everything. Excitement, anger, stress, and regret were some of the emotions seen throughout the afternoon. Congrats to Kevin the Man Mahon for be awarded stinger of the meet! Great running Kevin. Neil served notice of a potentially awesome season by almost breaking 2 schools records. Mitch jump 37’ in his triple jump debut and showed a glimpse of things to come. Hoffman looked great in both hurdles races by winning the 400IH and 110HH with personal bests. Lets all continue in our quest to become champions. Always work hard a learn from each experience.

The competition was awesome and many of you decided to be a part of it. I really think that it is important to learn how to compete! You can't allow other people to run from you like you are a spectator. If you finished higher than you were ranked going into the meet, your performance was a success. Get excited about being the best!!!! Sectionals are coming and you should be ready to represent the H that you wear on your chest. The first word that comes to mind is wow!!! I saw a lot of competing on the track tonight. Yes, there we're Holmdel athletes going after it. That is all I can ever ask for. Boys and girls hurdle crews were awesome. Lets keep workin. 4 boys 3 steppin? Unheard of before tonight. Dane & Brian - I'm impressed. Keri & Emily - 3 steps are beautiful. Alaina did her thing on the pole vault. Sam and Andre became official (now you are high jumpers). Neil, Rajat, Kev D, Kev M, the Laurens, Hoff, Andreas, & Kathleen - you are all beasts!! Keep doing what you do. Big tests are comin up.
